I am captivated by the conflict of identity, history, and memory in three capacities:

  • Projected fantasies and alter-egos based on the known and unknown
  • History as recorded by the ‘winners’ of society; hegemonic narratives
  • Aberrations in personal memory, and passed down stories

Born in the era of globalisation and global warming, cheap airfares and cheap thrills, the philosophical questions for my generation are readily narcissistic: Who am I? And how do I affect the inter-connected world around me? My work feeds off this tension of enstrangement and desire between myself and other entities.
