Smells Like Cologne, featured 8 emerging and mid-career artists based in Cologne, Germany. Works in painting, drawing, video, photography, and installation revealed current positions of artists educated at the Düsseldorf Kunstakademie and Academy of Media Arts, Cologne. Their work delved into subtle and deep transformations of existing images and media to break through the layers of a seductive surface.
